A World-Famous Institution
With a list of alumni that includes Albert Einstein, Oscar Wilde, Hugh Grant, economist Adam Smith and Margaret Thatcher, it is perhaps not surprising to know that the University of Oxford has been ranked first in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for seven years in a row.
This prestigious academic institution is the second oldest University still in operation in the world, with teaching having taken place there since the 1100’s. It is the oldest in which English is the main language of instruction. Today, it has around 25,000 students. 45% of these are international students, from over 160 countries.
